What is a Giclee Print?
While the latest giclee printers use 6 or more colours, traditional printers use 4 colours. The printing process captures every detail, depth and pure colours of an original through careful scanning and precise color correction. They have gained wide acceptance from artists and galleries throughout the world.
Giclee reproductions are made with pigment-base inks and therefore will retain their colour quality for a lifetime and more, unlike dye-based inks which will fade after a few years. It is this feature that makes them worth so much more.
